The digital launch was September 24, 2026, including GeForce NOW support. The physical release followed on October 15, with Standard and SteelBook packages for PS5 and Xbox Series X. One million copies sold: October 15 announcement

Remedy announced more than one million copies sold worldwide on October 15, 2026, three weeks after the September 24 digital launch. The company described CONTROL Resonant as its fastest-selling game in its 31-year history. This is a worldwide sales milestone reported by Remedy; it should be read separately from a Steam-only player count.

Launch platforms

Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S received the digital release. PC players can buy through Steam or Epic Games Store, with GeForce NOW support for supported store entitlements. Remedy's October 15 announcements retain the later-in-2026 Mac window and name Steam and the Mac App Store. Mac buyers should use the eventual Mac listing to check their chip, memory, and macOS version; the Windows requirements serve Windows buyers.

Standard Edition

Standard includes the complete base game. It is our recommendation for players whose priority is Dylan's campaign and who place little value on collectible packaging or digital extras. Compare the current price for your preferred format in the edition guide.

Digital Deluxe Edition

Digital Deluxe adds digital media and named in-game extras. SteelBook is the physical collectible package, with a case, three art prints, and a poster. Choose between them by the extras you actually want: the comparison separates their contents and explains the now-expired PS5 early-access offer.

Pre-order bonuses

For an eligible pre-purchase, use your dated receipt to check the Hiss Corruption Outfit and Pickpocket's Tool Artifact entitlement. If either item is missing, compare the storefront add-on list and installed content with that receipt before contacting the seller. Physical editions and delivery

The physical editions are now released. Before paying, match the platform, package contents, language, and delivery estimate on the product listing. Updates after launch

New Game++ is now live in the October 1 update. Photo Mode remains planned for November under the September roadmap. Use the 1.4.2 quest and reward fixes for current blockers, 1.4.0 changes for the NG++ feature update, and the post-launch roadmap for the timeline.

Quest and reward fixes: 1.4.2

Hotfix 1.4.2 was released October 8, 2026. It addresses missing Zoe in The House in Distress, the post-Artist Gap exit, Busken's Underhill dialogue, Firebreaker and Ranger tasks, excessive Burn damage with Wallet, and localization. If Every Dog Has Her Day is complete but its Artifact is missing, check that reward before starting NG+: retroactive recovery requires a save that has not entered NG+.
