CONTROL Resonant releases worldwide on September 24, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Confirmed release date

Remedy announced September 24, 2026 as the worldwide launch date. Steam also displays September 24, and the PlayStation and Xbox announcements identify the same day. The date is confirmed rather than an estimate inherited from an older “2026” release window.

An exact universal release hour has not been published. Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and retail copies can follow different regional schedules, while Deluxe early access adds another storefront-specific window. Check the store where you purchased the game before relying on a countdown from an unofficial site.

Launch platforms

The launch platforms are Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. PC players can buy through Steam or Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW streaming is planned from launch. Remedy has also confirmed a Mac edition for later in 2026, but no exact Mac date is available.

There are no announced PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch editions. Steam Deck compatibility is still listed as unknown on Steam rather than Verified, Playable, or Unsupported. Read the platforms guide before treating cloud support or controller support as proof of handheld performance.

Standard Edition

The Standard Edition includes the complete base game. Steam listed it at US$59.99 when checked on September 1, though pricing and taxes vary by country. Physical console availability can also vary between retailers.

Players do not need Deluxe cosmetics or starter resources to access the stated main campaign. Remedy has not described a Deluxe-exclusive story mission, character, zone, or boss. Standard is therefore the clearest choice for buyers who want the game without digital extras.

Digital Deluxe Edition

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, Digital Artbook, Original Soundtrack, AWE Mission Outfit, Untapped Artifact described as a Wallet, and a Starter Resource Bundle. Steam listed the package at US$69.99 on the same September 1 check. The ten-dollar US difference is a snapshot, not a universal regional price gap.

PlayStation's June announcement also advertises up to 48-hour early access with the PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition. Do not assume that perk automatically applies to Steam, Epic, or Xbox unless the relevant listing states it. The editions guide separates shared Deluxe items from platform-specific claims.

Pre-order bonuses

Steam lists the Hiss Corruption Outfit and Pickpocket's Tool Artifact as pre-purchase rewards. A pre-order bonus is different from Deluxe content: the purchase date, not only the edition, determines eligibility. Store descriptions should be captured before launch if the bonus matters to you.

Remedy has not stated that either item is permanently exclusive or required for a build. The Artifact may affect early loadout choices, but final stats and acquisition alternatives need in-game verification. This site will not label the bonus pay-to-win from a name and image alone.

Remedy says digital and physical pre-orders are available, with physical versions applying to supported console releases. Download size and installed storage are not identical. Steam's 100 GB requirement is the safe planning number, while preload size, launch patch size, and unpacking overhead remain unknown. Keep extra free space rather than assuming the final download will be exactly 100 GB.

Languages and accessibility information

Steam lists 15 supported languages, but interface, subtitle, and full-audio support are not identical across every language. Eight languages are marked for full audio in the store table checked for this guide, so buyers who need a particular dub should inspect that row before purchasing. Console language delivery may also depend on region or a separate language pack.

The current store features confirm full controller support on Steam, but they do not provide a complete accessibility menu. Subtitle presentation, remapping, difficulty assists, visual options, and audio cues need release-build verification.
